One important part of iPads in the classroom are the Apple ID's which are used to download apps or backup data.. Multiple iOS devices such as iPads can use the same Apple ID therefore sharing the apps and information bound with that specific Apple ID. Most people have a personal Apple ID already in use on there personal iOS Device. We do not want to share any information related to any personal Apple ID with our classroom iPads. So we will need to create a new classroom Apple ID.

iPads support multiple Apple ID accounts. The classroom iPads are setup using a Layered account approach.

Staff are optionally responsible for creating the last layer account which is the classroom Apple ID used for installing apps related to the classroom and backing up data with iCloud.
